ONE RUN

I am a 4th grade teacher at Chicago International Charter School West Belden. On November 3rd, 2012 our school hosted their first annual One Run. Third, fourth, and fifth graders met at Riis Park in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood to celebrate health and wellness in a one mile race. The event was organized and run by West Belden teachers. The students and teachers run together two days a week in order to stay active, even through the winter season. The One Run was an amazing success thanks to the dedication and collaboration of West Belden students, parents, and families. Thanks so much to No.2 Pencils for designing and providing tshirts for our One Run! It was a wonderful day!
